The Pass, my hub website linking to information regarding Gemini Productions, specializing in entertainment, marketing, promotions and event coordination as well as my most recent en devours Source Sound Recording Studio, The Mad Mad Scientists and Desert Southwest musicians forums.

Gemini Productions

Established in 1987, Gemini Productions early inception in electronic media and marketing has to date resulted in approximately one million dollars in total gross buys, primarily placing buys for clients ranging from private businesses and local night clubs to concerts and special events. My entertainment agency has arranged and overseen several thousand bookings for local and regional entertainment. Buyers have included high end locations such as the Camino Real Hotel, Coronado Country Club, private parties, weddings, special events, etc., as well as dozens of night clubs and pubs.

Since 2002, Gemini Productions has scheduled all entertainment for the Franklins Lounge at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino. The Franklins Lounge is one of the Southwests' premier locations to hear live entertainment and has been nominated three times as the best place to hear live music by "Best of The Border", an El Paso Times survey.

National Acts

As a promoter, agent or events coordinator, I have produced shows with The Chi Lites, The Little River Band, Grammy nominated artist Doug Stone, Blackfoot, Black Oak Arkansas, Robert Cray, Pat Travers, Charlie Musselwhite, Shemekia Copeland, Dr. John, Johnny Winter, Leon Russell, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Buddy Guy, Maria Muldaur, Taj Mahal, George Clinton and Ryan Shaw.

Live Sound Engineer

My initial experience began in the late 80’s working with the Sound Sea Warehouse, local promoters known for presenting acts in the reggae genre such as Burning Spear and China Africa. Since 2007, I have worked with Regent Broadcasting, engineering “unplugged” shows for several Top-40 charting bands including Mat Kearney of Live, Mathew Scannell of Vertical Horizon, Avion , 16 Frames , Anna Nalick , Delta Goodrem , Matt Nathanson, Safety Suit, Metro Station, Boys Like Girls and Echo Jet.

Studio Engineer

Since the completion of Source Sound Recording Studio in March, 2008, recording projects have thus far ranged from Cuban Latin Jazz, Country Western, Blues, Rock and my own personal projects with The Mad Mad Scientists.

Professional Musician

The root of my entire career stems from 34 years of experience, drums being my primary instrument. My bands have played a myriad of functions and events, ranging from local pubs, country clubs, private events, concerts and a showing at El Paso’s “Music Under The Stars” series for a crowd of 12,000 plus. My Recordings

Mad Mad Scientists

The Mad, Mad Scientists is simply an exploration of ambient sound and complex rhythmic configurations. Our first compilation, "The '03 Project" is an experiment of layering instruments in different time signatures, a tactic that first appeared during the 12th century. These tracks are an attempt to combine ambient textures with raw power.

Our second compilation, "Human Element" is an approach to invite a small group of select musicians to participate in essentially recording a "jam session". Over a period of nearly one year, overdub tracks of synthesizer, percussion and string tracks were added, the only rule applied being "First Takes Only". The end result is a soundscape that could not possibly be conceived prior to recording initial tracks. Samples and downloads - www.madmadscientists.com

Source Sound Recording Studio is essentially a life long ambition to own and operate my own studio in which to record and create my own music and collaborations as well as build upon a commercial enterprise. Construction was completely hands on with help from my Dad...a challenge as neither one of us ever constructed anything more complex than a box. After 3 years, 3 months of determined resolve, the studio was completed in March, 2008.
