The Chili Crackers

Founded in 1999, the Chilli Crackers have always featured several of the most proficient and talented musicians in the Southwest. Known for an extremely versatile musical format and show as opposed to a consistent lineup, the band has played functions as diverse as it's personnel, ranging from basic night clubs and pubs to country clubs, private events to concerts, including a show at El Paso's "Music Under The Stars" for 12,000 plus attendance.

Each group of players earned their bones so to speak. To date, honorary Chilli Crackers include Rod Crosby (Rod Crosby & the Intruders, Windfall), Pat Tucker, Ron Cooper,Steve Thummell, Ron Stone, Jerry Moran (Cuervo), Javier Munoz, Greg Gonzalez (Cigarettes After Sex), Art Quezada, Mark Alvillar (Malo), Dr. Lowkey, Rick Gelsthorpe, Eddie Pinneda, Kim Blakey, Rob Molina, David Valenzuela and Ron King.

2010 promises to be an interesting year as the core band will be comprised of Ron King, Eddie Pinneda and Rick Gelsthorpe, a project that en devours to encompass an extremely broad format ranging from the somewhat familiar to the obscure and abstract.

Mad Mad Scientists

	The Mad, Mad Scientists is simply an exploration of ambient sound and complex rhythmic configurations. Our first compilation, "The '03 Project" is an experiment of layering instruments in different time signatures, a tactic that first appeared during the 12th century. These tracks are an attempt to combine ambient textures with raw power. Our second compilation, "Human Element" is an approach to invite a small group of select musicians to participate in essentially recording a "jam session". Over a period of nearly one year, overdub tracks of synthesizer, percussion and string tracks were added, the only rule applied being "First Takes Only". The end result is a soundscape that could not possibly be conceived prior to recording initial tracks. Samples and downloads - www.madmadscientists.com

Source Sound Recording Studio is essentially a life long ambition to own and operate my own studio in which to record and create my own music and collaborations as well as build upon a commercial enterprise. Construction was completely hands on with help from my Dad...a challenge as neither one of us ever constructed anything more complex than a box. After 3 years, 3 months of determined resolve, the studio was completed in March, 2008.
